Eyemimo is delighted to introduce you Makeup Artist Whitney Stassi  from Portland, Oregon. Whitney has been a loyal customer for the last few years. She uses Eyemimo cluster eyelash extensions for her clients who the majority are brides. Without further ado, let’s get to know Whitney from our Q & A below.

Eyemimo: Whitney, please tell us about yourself.
Whitney: I live in the beautiful city of roses! Well, the city of rain if we are being completely honest! I am 30 years old. I just recently got married in June to my 7th-grade sweetheart, life as a newlywed is pretty wonderful. If you’re wondering, yes I did my own makeup for my wedding day!It was one of the sweetest memories that I will cherish forever.

My passion for makeup began at a young age. I remember I would spend HOURS on a single page in a coloring book, making sure I didn’t go out of the lines, blending blush onto the characters cheeks and always, always giving the perfect red lipstick. What can I say, I had a thing for red lips at a young age!

I learned a lot about makeup working for MAC Cosmetics for 5 years, where I got to practice my artistry skills and learn from the top artists in the company. I never felt like I was “working” when I was there. Every day I learned something new and that is something I hope everyone can experience in their career.

Eyemimo: What do you like the most and the least being a makeup artist?
Whitney: I would say the #1 thing I love most about my job is rekindling with people from my past all throughout different stages in my life. Also, befriending my clients is pretty amazing too! I believe that you attract people who are similar in personalities to you and that is something that is so special to me.

Eyemimo: Do you have any make- up advice that you would like to share with us?
Whitney: Some makeup advice I would give is, don’t compare yourself to other people. Whether it’s another makeup artist, another person, in general, doesn’t matter. We all have started somewhere and always remember that practice makes perfect. You don’t achieve the perfect winged liner on the first try!
