2015’s Chinese New Year will be on Thursday, February 19th.

In San Francisco, Chinese New Year celebration can be felt pretty strong. That is due to large number of Chinese descent living in the city. Major stores to food establishment join force to celebrate it with red color Chinese decoration. The annual Chinese New Year parade along downtown San Francisco is part of the tradition since 1860s, after gold rush.

Many Chinese families will get together for dinner. In Chinese’s belief, the traditional color that represents happiness is red. Thus, red color is very commonly associates with Chinese New Year and actually for traditional Chinese wedding also. The slight gold color is normally accompanied red.

For upcoming Chinese New Year, we’d like to inspire you to be different. Instead of going traditional which is wearing red, go for gold champagne. Make an opposite to the norm, pick gold as the main color and add little red in between.
