Featured makeup artist: Love @loveiiittt

Coming up next is Love.

1) Tell us about yourself.

Where do I begin? I am a full time mother to 3 beautiful daughters, wife, and freelance

Makeup artist, “YouTuber” and dedicated beauty blogging “Instagramer” if you will!

lol It’s pretty safe to say I am one busy Mama! The Walking Dead is one of my

favorite shows and I absolutely love Beef jerky lol (Such random facts, I know.)

Hmm, California is where I reside, but spent a good part of my life in DC/Maryland.

I am of Filipino heritage and am the oldest of 3 sisters. Yes, Love is my real name!

Lol

2) What do you like the most and the least being a Make-up Artist?

Well, it’s always better to start off with “The positives” first… Ya know, to

lighten the mood! What do I like most being a Makeup Artist?! I would definitely say

my favorite part of being a MUA is the self-gratification I get seeing my art

transform my client, not only physically, but emotionally! When they absolutely are

in AWE in the beauty that I was able to enhance in them that they never knew they

had, but had been there all that time! To be apart of that “moment” where you’re

able to touch another human being with your passion, while they (even if it’s for a

few seconds) realize how beautiful they are…really is phenomenal. Maybe I’m just a

weirdo lol but I’m sure some of my fellow MUA’s would agree.

Least favorite part is cleaning brushes! Any volunteers? Lol

3) Do you have any make-up advice that you would like to share with us?

Great makeup application on yourself or anyone else for that matter starts with skin

care! I can’t stress this enough: Awesome art, starts with an awesome canvas.

Invest in good skin care and everything else with fall into a flawless face! (And

eyes too!)

4) Is there anything else you want to share with us?

I know there’s a lot of aspiring MUA’s out there that sometimes get discouraged

about their work or question whether or not they’re “cut out for this”… We are all

human beings and it’s normal to feel that way, BUT.. I just want to share with them

that the mind is the most powerful tool we have! You have to BELIEVE you can do

something in order to make it happen! Every PRO was once an amateur! Just remember

that! You just have to keep practicing, keep your eye on the prize and BELIEVE IN

YOURSELF! No I am not Beyoncé, I did not wake up like this lol I practiced till my

eye lids were sore and none of my friends no longer wanted to be guinea pigs lol As

corny as it all sounds, “If I can do it, so can you!”
