Valentine’s Day is around the corner

Valentine’s Day in most cases is popular to be celebrated by couples. However, do you know that according to Wikipedia “Valentine’s Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus.”

Aside a very little fact I mentioned earlier, Valentine’s Day is the day that we all should take our time to celebrate it by showing our loved ones that we truly care for them in whichever way we can do our best, be it is a card or a box of chocolate. The recipients will appreciate your thought and effort more than the object itself.

The celebration is not limited to couples in love. This is the time to celebrate love between parents and children and among friends. I personally like to make a little special dinner for my husband and daughter on Valentine’s Day.

I don’t mean that showing love can’t be done in daily basis. I think having a specific assigned day in a year to show love is a good idea that we all will stop from whatever we are doing and take effort to really show our loved ones or perhaps some people that we want to embrace.
