Which False Eyelashes Should I Get?

Oh my it’s already the 6th day of the New Year. At EYEMIMO, we start kicking off our 2014’s plan. Lots of ideas are in the process to be executed and implemented, but the most important thing on this blog, I’d like to have open communication with everyone. I plan to blog at least twice a month, but hopefully will do more than that.

For my 1st post in 2014, allow me to start talking about the product what makes us where we are today. It’s none other than False Eyelashes. Comparing to almost 10 years ago, when we started to bring in our own brand of high-quality false eyelashes, today the beauty marketplace has been flooded with more brands of false eyelashes. This could be very confusing for you to decide which one you should get. Just like any other products, sometimes it’s really just based on trial & error to choose or best yet now a day you can find tons of product reviews through beauty blogs or Youtube vlog.

There are many factors that you can consider which one you should get. But to simplify it, I find the 2 most important characteristics of false eyelashes listed below can be used as your guidance.

1. Comfort

From my personal experience, the right false eyelashes to wear is the one that will stay comfortable on my eyes. Isn’t it just a common sense? When we wear something uncomfortable, wouldn’t our face appear to be weary and unhappy. If that happens, it has really defeated the purpose. Perhaps the best comparison of wearing an uncomfortable false eyelashes is the same as wearing uncomfortable shoes. By looking at the false eyelashes alone, you most likely will not find out whether it is comfortable or not. Again, wearing false eyelashes is similar like wearing shoes. You have to try it. But the best clue without wearing it, you can tell by touching the false eyelashes, if it is NOT Thick and NOT Stiff, it most likely will be comfortable.

2. Style

There are literally many different styles to choose from. This could be overwhelming to sort out which style will fit your eyes. My advice is to think of BALANCE. The bigger the shape of your eyes, the longer and more volume of false eyelashes style you want to pick.  Unfortunately, there is no one size fit all for false eyelashes. For smaller eye shape,  go with the length between 9 – 11 mm length and less volume.
