Eyemimo: Please tell us about yourself?
Olivia: I’m a professional Makeup Artist from Portland OR, specializing in Bridal. I have a team of 8 and growing, and we are known for what I would describe as “natural glamour”. We try to strike a balance between full on glam, and our brides still looking like themselves.
I have been a Makeup Artist for 16 years, starting my career working for brands like Bobbi Brown, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury and more. In 2010 I made the decision to pursue a freelance career, and never looked back!
Eyemimo: What do you like the most and the least being a makeup artist?
Olivia: My favorite part of my job is helping my clients feel amazing on the most important day of their life. I really enjoy making connections with brides and being a part of something so special.
My least favorite part is washing 200+ brushes at the end of the day!
Eyemimo: Do you have any makeup advice that you would like to share with us?
Olivia: My number one makeup tip is to make sure the skin looks like skin. If the complexion is right, the rest will fall into place. And of course if you’re going to wear lashes, get those things down to the root! I love eyemimo lashes because I can tuck them in between the natural lashes and they blend seamlessly.
Eyemimo: Is there anything else you want to share with us? such as the highlight moment of your career? Olivia: One major highlight of my career was being featured in Oregon Bride Magazine as one of Portland’s top Makeup Artists. It was an amazing experience being recognized alongside other artists in my industry that I respect so much. Having my work on the cover that year was just the cherry on top!
