Featured MUA: Tiffany Buckwalter from Mount Joy, Pennsylvania

It does not get any better when every month we get to learn the story/inspiration/advice.  Every artist does have their own story or advice to share that we all can learn from one another. This month, we are excited to feature Tiffany Buckwalter, makeup artist/owner of Fearfully & Wonderfully 139 who started applying Eyemimo Cluster Eyelash Extensions this year.

Eyemimo: Please tell us about yourself?

I have been in the beauty industry since 2016 and am the owner and professional makeup artist of Fearfully & Wonderfully 139. My love of art and beauty started back when I was a little girl. My older sister and I would do “photo shoots” where we dressed up, did makeovers, and styled our hair for fun! Art and design have always been a natural gifting of mine, and in high school I took as many art classes as I could fit into my schedule. Even now, I am constantly inspired by the beauty I see in the world. Not only do I take time to “paint” faces, but I also paint using other art forms as well, watercolor is my favorite!

In the past few years, I have continued building my makeup knowledge through professional development from Make Up For Ever’s Pro Makeup Classes in their Pennsylvania boutique. More recently, I had the privilege of taking the incredible Nicole Wagner’s Online Makeup Course from Powder Inc. Makeup. I love learning from other artists in the field because it is both affirming and exciting to see new and old techniques being used. In the future, I am dreaming and planning to take a Make Up For Ever Course at their NYC Academy.

My signature style is inspired by “Natural Beauty” and illuminates clients best and most beautiful features. I strongly believe in enhancing my clients’ natural beauty because this empowers them to feel like the best, most lovely, version of themselves. Honestly, I feel it is an incredible gift to see the beauty in someone else, and I love using makeup to help women see the beauty they already possess within. Through the years, I have been blessed to work with some truly wonderful women from all walks of life (brides, bridal parties, bride moms, new moms, and even high schoolers). As a result, my greatest joy has been helping all types of women outwardly express the inner beauty of their souls.

Eyemimo: What do you like the most and the least being a makeup artist?

To be frank, I honestly can’t think of anything I don’t like about being a makeup artist. To me, it’s the best job in the world! It’s difficult for me to pick one thing that I like the most about being a makeup artist, but I would say my favorite part has been client relationships. It is such an honor to play such an intimate role in the lives of my clients. Some women allow almost no one to see them bare-faced and vulnerable with all of their “flaws” visible. My heart delights in the fact that I get to encourage women through natural beauty, during some of the most special and important days of their lives. My clients are my favorite and time spent learning about them is such a treasure!

Eyemimo: Do you have any makeup advice that you would like to share with us?

My best makeup advice is to be yourself! Trust in and live out the beauty you were created to be. I believe everyone is created with a unique and marvelous beauty, and that your beauty should shine! As great as inspiration pictures are for beauty looks, be inspired by who you are. Everyone has something to offer, and even you were made with a special beauty. No one else can be you, and that is incredible. My other advice would be to trust your makeup artist, always add false lashes to a look (especially if you are getting photographs!), and hire a professional to help you out! Makeup application, especially for photography/film, is not something to “DIY”. You need a trusted professional who understands the process necessary to deliver an exceptional look – even for natural makeup. My final piece of advice is for brides (most of my clients): prep your skin for your wedding day and start well in advance of your big day! My favorite skincare line that I recommend to all my brides is Paula’s Choice. They have routines and options for everyone and all of their products are heavily researched based which helps me to trust and love them. Eyemimo has my most favorite bridal individual lashes – FYI!

Eyemimo: Is there anything else you want to share with us? such as the highlight moment of your career?

The highlight of my career has most definitely been learning and growing through my business! It has been one of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences of my life. I have learned endless lessons – mostly unexpected – through this endeavor and it has been such a blessing in my life so far! I also think it’s fair to mention that I could not do what I love without the help of my supportive husband, who has been my number one fan since the start of my business!
